Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
Your data is private to your account, never sold or shared, and can be deleted on request from inside the app.
1. Who we are
Hisaab is operated by Ankverse Global Consultancy ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it. It is governed by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
2. What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your email and a securely hashed password. When you use Hisaab you also store transactions (amount, date, category, vendor, notes), optional invoice photos you upload, categories you create, budgets, goals, accounts, and recurring rules you set.
3. Where it lives
Your data is stored in a managed Postgres database and object storage operated by Lovable Cloud (powered by Supabase), encrypted at rest. It is private to your account and protected by row-level security policies — no other user can read or write your data.
4. AI processing
When you upload an invoice or import a bank statement, the image or text is sent to Lovable AI Gateway (which routes to Google Gemini or OpenAI models) only to extract the fields. We do not retain the content beyond the request. Manual entry never uses AI.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your financial data with third parties.
- We do not show third-party advertising inside the app.
- We do not connect to your bank account directly — you choose what to upload or paste.
6. Your rights under the DPDP Act
You have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. You can:
- Delete any transaction, budget, category, goal, or uploaded invoice from inside the app at any time.
- Request full account deletion from Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete my account. We hold the account for 30 days so you can change your mind, then permanently erase all your data.
- Reach our grievance officer at the email on our Contact page.
7. Cookies & analytics
Hisaab uses only the cookies / local storage needed to keep you signed in. We may use anonymous usage analytics to improve the product; no personally identifying transaction content is ever sent to analytics.
8. Children
Hisaab is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly process their data.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date at the top and notify you inside the app the next time you sign in.
This policy is provided as-is and does not constitute legal advice. We recommend independent legal review for your specific use.
